Glidden Trade helps specifiers on a budget

Glidden Trade is supporting value conscious customers in providing decorative interior schemes, with the launch of its 'Commercial Colour Schemes' brochure. The simple guide is designed to make colour choice less daunting, especially for projects working to a limited budget.

The easy-to-use brochure, which is designed for specifiers and painting contractors, features 24 ready made colour palettes arranged into four broad groups; classic, calm, mid tone and vibrant. Each of the groups is then recommended for popular commercial settings, such as classic colours for healthcare and private sector environments, and vibrant shades for education, car parks and children's healthcare facilities.

The guide outlines how to utilise these schemes to best effect in a single area or an entire building, and which shades should be used on which substrate. It also advises end users on using colour to support Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements.

"Glidden Trade understands that choosing the most effective shades for a commercial building can be challenging, and this is particularly the case when funds are limited," said Nicolas Guichard, Senior Brand Manager at Glidden Trade. "By creating a selection of ready-to-use collections, we've made colour specification more straightforward for value-conscious customers and taken away the fear factor.

"While the new brochure offers ready made schemes, it also allows for an element of flexibility for specifiers and painting contractors that want to be more creative. Recommendations rather than rules, all of the palettes can be interchanged and used in any setting."

Offering a variety of options for specifiers and painting contractors, the guide features 120 shades, including the Glidden Trade Exclusives, BS 4800 and RAL ranges.
