The artwork was created by street artist Jim Vision using a mixture of Dulux Trade Light & Space paint and spray can paint, on a canvas measuring 2.5 by 1.2 metres. The piece was originally commissioned for display at the prestigious FX International Interior Design Awards which were held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London in October 2008. These much coveted awards celebrate the cream of the international design crop, and the piece by Jim Vision was befitting of this audience and event.

After the ceremony, Dulux Trade contacted Cancer Research UK and offered to donate the piece of art to be auctioned by the charity at one of its events. The auction took place during a charity luncheon at Fortnum & Mason with the auctioneer, actress Maureen Lipman, encouraging bids from all corners of the room.

Louise Selman, Area Volunteer Manager for Cancer Research UK, said: "We were extremely grateful to Dulux Trade for the donation of the canvas. The luncheon at Fortnum & Mason was a great success and due to the generous donations of companies such as Dulux Trade, raised crucial funds for Cancer Research UK."

The artwork was purchased by the landlady of a chain of West London pubs and is now intriguing and delighting the regulars in its new home.
