Dulux Trade presents Sustain’ Magazine Award for Refurbishment

Dulux Trade is proud to once again have demonstrated its leadership in sustainability by presenting the prestigious Sustain' Magazine Award for Refurbishment and acknowledging those companies and projects which have made a significant sustainable improvement in their refurbishment.

The sustain' Magazine Awards for Sustainability, Business & the Built Environment, 2009 were designed to celebrate the high hopes and hard work, commitment and creativity, radicalism and rigour, inspiration and perspiration of all those achieving distinction and success in the field of Sustainability.

The Gala Dinner, which took place on the 3rd of March provided a showcase for companies, organisations, projects, products, systems and schemes adjudged by an expert and eminent peer group panel to have demonstrated standout excellence in their chosen category.

The Dulux Trade Award for Refurbishment in 'Property & the Built Environment' recognised those companies and projects which are leading the way in sustainable refurbishment. Dulux Trade would like to congratulate Kingspan Insulation & Camden Council on winning this prestigious award for their 'Victorian House of the Future' project. According to the judges, "The capacity for application of the approach demonstrated across a large proportion of the existing stock both promises great potential and fosters broad awareness-building" We are also delighted to highlight the runners up: Great Portland Estates (180 Great Portland Street), Hyde Housing Association (Retrofit & Replicate), Land Securities Group plc (Dashwood House), Marks & Spencer (Marks & Spencer, Bournemouth) and Morgan Lovell (16 Noel Street, Headquarters of Morgan Lovell).

The awards event was a true celebration of the principles and practices that underpin success in the pursuit of Sustainability. The event took place on the first night of Ecobuild, the UK's foremost sustainability trade show for the construction industry, where Dulux Trade, the leader in sustainability within the paint industry, continued to highlight its commitment to maintaining the focus on more sustainable decorating solutions.
