Glidden Trade takes pole position in promotional race

There was a frenzy of excitement amongst loyal Glidden Trade customers this year with a unique racing themed loyalty promotion. The top 700 Glidden Trade customers were invited to take part in the special promotion and were presented with the chance of winning an array of incredible prizes in the form of tickets to high profile sporting fixtures.

To be in with a chance of winning, customers were rewarded with 'laps' in return for their Glidden Trade purchases. The more 'laps' accrued, the better the potential prize that could be won.

This promotion has been a tremendous success. We know our customers love sport and we wanted to reward them for their loyalty by giving them the chance to attend top sporting events.

The promotion, which ran from January 2008 sped to its conclusion in May and winners are now looking forward to a season of fun packed events. Glidden Trade provided tickets to all of this year's must attend events including one of Europe's largest motor racing spectacles, The British F1 Grand Prix.

Andrew Evans of Andrew Evans Painting Contractors Ltd was one of the lucky winners to pick up this prize: "I'm a huge fan of The Grand Prix and felt really fortunate to win tickets to the sell-out event at Silverstone. I've been a loyal customer for as long as I can remember and that's simply because it delivers good quality at reasonable prices."

Other sporting events lined up for winners this year included full hospitality at Newbury, a box at the Barclays or Scottish Premiership and the ultimate prize of a four day trip to Shanghai for the F1 Grand Prix, which takes place in October.

These prizes are top of the range and we wanted nothing less for our devoted customers. It appears to be a trend that, once we get new customers on board and they discover the quality and competitive cost of the product, they remain continuously loyal to the brand.
