It's a hard job, but Dulux Trade Cladshield can do it!

Dulux Trade has launched Cladshield, a water-based, single pack product that offers superior exterior durability and protection for Plastisol coated and coil cladded buildings. Providing up to eight years' protection, the latest addition to the Dulux Trade Specialist Products range helps extend maintenance schedules, saving time and reducing costs.

With Cladshield, Dulux Trade continues to lead the way on the road to developing more sustainable paints and coatings. As a water-based product, Cladshield has a lower environmental impact than its solvent-based competitors, without any compromise on performance.

Cladding is arguably one of the hardest working elements of a building. It acts as a 'skin' that prevents water and wind infiltrating the main building structure, safely directing wind and water to run off the building in a controlled manner. Such an industrious building component deserves and equally durable coating.

Dulux Trade Cladshield provides an extremely tough, flexible paint film that is even suitable for application over previously painted or weathered cladding. Its superior adhesion helps Cladshield-treated buildings look good for longer.

As Cladshield is recoatable in just four to six hours, jobs can be completed in a single day, minimising downtime, always a positive with Britain's infamous changeable weather. It is available in the full Dulux Trade exterior colour range, and boasts excellent colour fastness.

Cladshield is a product that meets the requirements of both specifiers and appliers. Specifiers can be confident that its water-based system will give the performance levels required. It also helps to extend maintenance cycles, something that specifiers are becoming increasingly stringent on in a bid to keep costs down and environmental credentials up. Professional appliers, on the other hand, will appreciate the single-pack water-based formulation, that can be applied by a variety of methods, including spray, without the need for messy on-site mixing, which ultimately means a quicker turnaround.
