Dulux Trade raises the bar

The Royal Court of Justice is steeped in British History; from the original courts which opened in 1882 to the subsequent building extensions, each building offers a unique insight into British architecture through the ages. So when it came to re-decorating The Queen's Building, built in 1968, it was essential that the finish was not only durable, but that it also met with the high standards required by the courts.

Dulux Trade products and Dulux Trade Contract Partners, Primetone, were chosen to refresh the The Queen's Building's public spaces; including 12 of the courts, public areas, the judges quarters, the prayer room, baby feeding areas, clerical offices and internal staircases. External work on all windows was also carried out. Each room was painted using Dulux Trade Diamond Matt to ensure a hardwearing, premium quality finish.

Diamond Matt is a breakthrough in matt paint technology. Not only is it ten times tougher than vinyl silk emulsion, it also offers a hardwearing finish that is resistant to common stains and is easy to clean. Therefore, it was the ideal choice for a building which sees a high volume of traffic in its public areas and requires a robust wall covering.

Primetone offers a specialist painting and decorating service and has undertaken many prestigious works in and around London, including Wembley National Stadium and The Bank of England. As a member of Dulux Trade Contract Partnership, Primetone is independently assessed for quality of workmanship and business professionalism, giving clients peace of mind that their prestigious project is in safe hands.

Kevin Rabbitte, Managing Director at Primetone, says: "Working on a project such as the Royal Courts of Justice requires specific skills and expertise so it's really important to work with a supplier that produces paint that delivers an excellent finish, and ultimately ensures our clients are happy at the end of a project.

"Dulux Trade offers a comprehensive range of high performance paints that enable us to meet even the most challenging briefs - the importance of using a paint that fulfils the individual requirements of a project is essential. In this case, we needed a high specification finish that would be durable and hardwearing, and Diamond Matt has delivered for us every time in areas such as these."
