How to join
There are two ways of joining Select; either as a full member, who receives all of our support and benefits, or as an associate, for businesses that are keen to becoming involved and benefit from the support of the scheme, but do not meet the joining criteria to become a full member. Please see our criteria for more information on which membership best suits your business.

Full Membership Criteria
- You must have worked as a painter and decorator for at least 3 years
- You must have run your own business for a minimum of one year
- At least 60% of your work must be in domestic properties
- You must also be in a position to provide three references on request from homeowners that you have recently completed work for.
- Ideally you should be in a position to allow us to visit you on site for a full assessment within two weeks of applying
- You must provide two passport photos of yourself
Associate Membership Criteria
- Start up business (0-2 years)
- Holding a formal qualification or experience in painting and decorating.
- Attending 2 or more training courses per year
- Initial assessment
