PLGN 4.10 Woodstain - from dark to light

Putting a woodstain over the top of a previous stained substrate will cause the wood to go darker. Traditionally the only way to go back to a lighter shade was to strip the woodstain off which is costly and timely.

Now however dark wood can be transformed back to light in three easy steps:

Step One
The existing dark stained wood is washed down and lightly sanded

Step Two
A coat of Dulux Trade Weathershield Aquatech Opaque or Weathershield Opaque AP is applied

Step Three
A coat of Dulux Trade Weathershield Aquatech Woodstain or Weathershield Woodstain AP in the desired lighter shade completes the transformation

Important Note
The recommended system is one coat of Opaque followed by one coat of Semi-Transparent.However, in some cases an extra coat of the opaque may be required to completely obliterate the previous coating. Failure to make the previous woodstain fully obliterate may cause the final colour to be slightly different
