To get the best results make sure the surfaces to be clean, free from bark, dirt and any surface treatment such as paint or varnish, air dry (25% moisture content maximum), properly prepared and fully worked.

When applying the product by brush or spray – all surfaces should be flooded with preserver, paying particular attention to end-grain and flooding joints to ensure maximum protection. Normally two or three liberal coats are required with subsequent coats applied before the first is dry. The more preserver used, the better the protection achieved. For spray treatment 1 flooded spray coat is equivalent to 1 brush coat and should be applied using a low pressure, coarse (non-atomising) compression spray. Cuprinol Power Sprayer or the Cuprinol Fence Sprayer are recommended for this product. Use of any other sprayer may give disappointing results.

After use, remove as much product as possible from equipment before cleaning with clean water. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.
