The three formulations in the Ecosure range, Matt, Gloss and Undercoat, have been developed to deliver all of the advantages of water-based systems and achieve the professional finish you expect from Dulux Trade while satisfying the need for greater sustainability.

Ecosure Matt

Ecosure Matt offers performance that matches and in some cases exceeds that of equivalent matt emulsions, delivering favourably comparable levels of opacity and coverage.

Unique Dry-Hide technology

The pigment in conventional paints is visible when wet so the opacity of the finish is apparent during application. The unique Dry-Hide technology used in Ecosure Matt works differently; the opaque particles within the formulation are translucent or hidden while the paint is wet and full opacityis only reached as the paint dries. When dry the final opacity of Ecosure Matt is comparable to that of Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt.

Proven performance in spreading and scrub test

When comparing Ecosure Matt’s coverage against a number of its competitors, it was shown to have one of the highest spreading rates of all the paints on test. When subjected to British Standard scrub tests, Ecosure Matt was rated as having the highest level of durability, with the lowest mg/cm² levels of paint loss.

Ecosure water-based Gloss & Undercoat

Ecosure water-based Gloss and Undercoat have been developed to deliver all of the advantages of water-based systems and achieve a professional finish normally associated with solvent-based variants, while satisfying the need for greater sustainability.

Unique ICI nano-technology

Unlike conventional water-based paints, Ecosure water-based Gloss and Undercoat utilise unique Dulux Trade nano-technology, which as well as offering improved flow, levelling and gloss, also offer an increased open time for improved application. The result is a noticeably superior finish.

Improved particle distribution for improved gloss

As some water-based products dry, microscopic pigment particles can clump together, leading to an uneven finish. However Ecosure water-based Gloss and Undercoat have been formulated to improve pigment distribution, resulting in a more even, glossier finish.
