Dulux Trade proudly embraces urban creativity for all

The results are in, and, as the winners of the UK Civic Awards 2008 reveal in their achievements, Dulux Trade is celebrating the urban creativity of one design team in particular, John McAslan and Partners.

As sponsors of the 2008 Access Award, Dulux Trade is proud to acknowledge the hard work and inspiring renovation which has taken place at The Roundhouse, previously a railway shed, gin warehouse and music venue.

The venue has been sensitively transformed, by John McAslan and Partners, into an attractive, modern performance space which can accommodate up to 3,500 people. Careful consideration has been taken to create internal and external disabled friendly access points around the building.

Dulux Trade is delighted to be associated with the Civic Trust and take great pleasure in congratulating the John McAslan team for such an inspiring restoration project.

The access award is of special significance to Dulux Trade as it recognises good design that addresses the varied needs of visitors and our sponsorship is a natural progression of our own work in this area.

In 2007 Dulux Trade launched the Colour and Contrast CD, designed to help specifiers create aesthetic colour schemes that also meet the duties of the DDA guidelines, for the visually impaired.

Dulux Trade is committed to creating practical, innovative and sustainable products which enhance the quality of lives of communities across the UK.
