Contractor, F O'Donnell and Sons Ltd, called on the experts at Glidden Trade for the refurbishment of the main reception, all concourses, refreshment areas and toilets within the City of Manchester Stadium. Glidden Trade Acrylic Eggshell was applied on all walls in the famous blue and white home strip colours.
Glidden Trade Acrylic Eggshell was selected for its tough and durable properties. With 48,000 fans attending each home game at the stadium, it was crucial that the paint should be able to withstand wear and tear and retain a newly painted appearance throughout the whole season and into summer when the former Commonwealth Games venue is used for concerts and events.
The trade paint is particularly suited for large commercial jobs such as this due to its easy application, quick drying formula and mid-sheen finish, which in turn reduces application time and associated costs.
Peter O'Donnell, Contracts Manager at F O'Donnell and Sons Ltd explains: "As a family run company, we are renowned for offering high quality service and delivering great results. We have built up a trusted relationship with Glidden Trade as the brand offers reliable and quality products, at a competitive price, which couldn't be more relevant in the current economic conditions.
"The stadium is now such a landmark in the city of Manchester that we needed to make sure we did a great job for the football club. We chose Glidden Trade Acrylic Eggshell as it's a very good quality product that we have full confidence in for key projects."
Nicolas Guichard, Senior Brand Manager for Glidden Trade, concluded: "For such a prestigious project, the contractor needed a paint that not only provided value for money, but could be relied upon week after week.
"Glidden Trade offers a quality paint range at a competitive price, which in turn reassures clients that the specified products will perform to the standards expected from an ICI Paints AkzoNobel assured paint."
